I am the oldest of two siblings. I have a sister named Gina who is thirteen years old and a brother named PJ who is eight years old. Before my brother was born it was just me and my sister. We got along at times and there were other times, like all siblings ,that we fought. I used to tease my sister and make her cry because I thought it was funny. This one time I told my sister that she was adopted and that her real name was taylor. She started to cry to my mom while I continued to laugh. I used to hang out with this girl named Kristen who lived three houses away from mine. My sister would be bored at times and my mom would make me take her with me. I would be so mean to her and make her do all these things just because I was mad at my mom for making me take my sister everywhere I went. Looking back at the situation I regret a lot about what I said and did to her. Now we dont have a good of a relationship as we should have because of our childhood. We are always angry with each other for no reason. Dont get me wrong, we still talk to each other and get along but we are family, we should be best friends. I really regret being mean to my sister as much as I was. I think that people and even myself are mean to people that dont deserve it becuase they feel like they are better then other people, or almost looking down on that person. I beleive children growing up sometimes need to feel powerful, maybe becuase someone bullies them. I also beleive that people who are mean to other people for no reason are insure or self confident within themselves.

The Alchemist

The book called The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is about a boy traveling to the egyptian pyramids while trying to live out his Personal Legend and find his treasure. The boy named, Santiago meets many differnt people along to way to help him find his treasure. They teach him a little about life, as he teaches them about life also. In the end he finally reaches the pyramids and his treasure is back at the church where he first had his reoccuring dream. Back at the church he digs for an hour and reaches his treasure. The treasure is filled with spanish coins, jewels, and other riches. After reading The Alchemist I would recommend the book to other people. I really liked the book and how it ended. Not every day we read books about treasure hunting and the true meaning of life. I would deffinatly read other books like The Alchemist.

When I am 25 years old I hope to be an ultra-sound technician. In this job you use an ultra sound techonology to show a tiny picture of your stomache just to make sure everything is ok with your stomache. I always wanted to work in the medical feild and this is the best way for me to to be successful. I love working with people and seeing all the infant babies in their mothers stomache.

1. Speaking to the public
Being an ultra-sound tech. I have to be friendly and interact with the people I am observing.
2. Operating Equipment
I need to learn how to use the machines properly so i dont break them then have to pay to fix the broken machines.
3. Taking Personal Responsibility
If i make a mistake, its no one elses resbonsibilty but mine and I need to know this to further my dream of becoming an ultra-sound tech.
4. Developing a climate of enthusiasm, teamwork and cooperation
In any job you need to have these three traits to do your job correctly and to keep your job.
5. Meeting People
Being an ultra-sound tech. you meet all kinds of different people, pregnant moms, people with tumors and people who need the inside of their bodies looked at.
6. Administering Medication
If for any reason is there is a problem with the baby or something wrong with your stomache and you need medicine i need to make sure I prescribe you the right kind and amount of medicine
7. Defining A Problem
If someone comes to me and has a tumor or something wrong with their stomach I will be able to look at the ultra sound and know where it located at and then go for an x-ray.
8. Knowledge of Concepts and principles
I need to know what im talking about and telling my patients so they are confident with my answers and advice. Who wants to go to an ultra-sound tech who doesnt know what they are doing?
9. Analyzing data
To be an ultra-sound tech you have to analyze the picture from the ultrasound and describe it to the patients because they dont know what they are looking at.
10. Comparing results
If someone comes to me with a stomache problem and I can compare their ultrasound with a normal persons ultra sound to see what the problem is.
11. Summarizing Information
You have to explain to the patients what they are looking at because to the patients the ultra-sound is just a picture. You have to summarize the information you know so the patients can understand very clearly what is going on in their stomache.
12. Teaching/Instructing'training Individuals
Being an ultra sound tech when your hospital or doctors office hires new people you will have to train and help out the new employees.
13. Dispensing Information
Being an ultra sound tech. you have to take the information in that you get from the ultra sound and then dispense it out to the patient who has no idea what they are looking at.
14. Entertaining people
While giving a patient an ultra sound you should entertain them and make them laugh. They will be much calmer if they feel comfortable and safe in your care.
15. Becoming actively involved
If you put yourself out there and let your boss know you are gettin involved in everything you can to better your career you will keep moving up and up in your wrok space. You will also make more money by getting rasies and showing your boss you care about how you work.
16. Creating meaningful and challenging work
When you have any job you need to challenge your self and learn from your job. Putting you in a difficult situation helps you better your career and helps you prepare for the real world when your put in those situations.
17. Maintaining emotional control under stress
While giving someone an ultra sound you cant show that your stressed out and angry. This mood will make the patient feel uncomfortable and not happy. You never want to leave patient unhappy especially in the hospital its already bad enough just being in there.
18. Planning agendas and meetings
If you are sick and need to continueiously come back for weeks at a time for an ultra sound then you need to make appointments and have meetings.
19. Questioning others
You need to ask your patient certain questions like if they are alergic to anything or have any special conditions because you could hurt someone really bad if you dont know all their conditions
20. Cleanliness
Being in the hospital with any kind of job you have to make sure you are constatly washing your hands and sterolizing everything for the benefit of you and the patient. It is extreamly easy to get sick from the hospital and not being careful about being clean.

Worth Fighting For

My neighborhood is worth fighting for. I live in Somerdale and its a very nice little town. I like my neighbors, the location, the atmosphere and the enviorment. I would never want to live anywhere else. I know there are other places in the world that are a lot worse then where I live. My neighborhood is not the most riches nor do I have a fancy house, but Its where I grew up and I would never want to leave all those memories behind. Being in my house i can think of at least 100 memories that i would not want to forget living somewhere else. My town, neighborhood, and house is worth fighting for.

Odysseus Is A Good Leader

I beleive odysseus is a very good leader and its his men holding him back from returning home sooner then he could have. When Odysseus goes to the underworld to speak with Tireases, He tells him not to harm the cattle of helios. When they get to the island, a bad storm hits for a month and all their food is ruined by the rain. While Odysseus is asleep, his hungry men kill one cattle and eat it. Helios is very angry and curses them. I think Odysseus' men should have never disobeyed him. I also beleive that his men are half the reason that it is taking them so long to get home. His men should just trust and beleive what Odysseus says because he is still their king no matter where they are or how bad they dont like his rules. He outsmarts the cyclops, while any other leader would have just killed him when the cyclops first came home. Then they would have rotted away in the cyclops cave. Odysseus also did everything he can to keep his men alive as long as they did, his men shouldnt have lived any longer then they did. Odysseus men didnt listen to him and I beleive thats what they get for disobeying their king. Odyssues is brave, strong, and very wise. He is everything thing a good leader should be and more.

Aeolus is the God of the winds who gave Odysseus a bag of all the winds that would throw him off course, giving him a straight route back to Eithica. As soon as Odysseus recieved the bag of winds he quickly got on his boat and started traveling home, ordering his men not to open the bag. The curiousity got the best of Odysseus' men and eventually opened the bag, blowing them all the way on Circes Island. In my opinion it is Odysseus' men fault. I beleive this because Odysseus is their king and protecter, what he says shouldnt be questioned or gone against. Odysseus is a brave, intellegent, and a strong warrior not only that he is their king. His men should have never doubted their king and went against his order. Odysseus knows what he is doing and he shouldnt have to explain anything to his men. I think Odysseus' men really crossed the line when they opened the bag. By doing this it shows Odysseus that they cant be trusted and is going to take them a lot longer to get home then it would have if they never opened the bag.
